Meet the herd

The magic of equine coaching doesn’t happen without the help of an amazing herd. I’m fortunate to have the most beautiful souls to help my clients on their journey…

Mouse is a 24 year old American Quarter Horse mare. She arrived at Equisano after being donated by a lovely friend of Brittany's. This sweet girl has just about done it all. Most recently, she worked as a therapeutic horse for children with disabilities. With her highly sensitive nature, Mouse easily helps her human friends connect with deeper parts of themselves so they can release old emotions and limiting beliefs that are no longer serving them. She has a huge heart and an incredibly grounding presence, which makes her even better at her job.

Takoda is a 11 year old American Quarter Horse who joined Equisano in June 2017. The name Takoda is Sioux for "friend of everyone", which he most certainly is. This handsome boy is playful, curious, and eager to connect. He's not afraid to voice his truth and encourages his human counterparts to do the same.

Winston is a 3 year old Ragdoll cat. He may look grumpy, but don't let that fool you. This big ball of fluff is incredibly loving and social. "Winsty" has a remarkable ability to suck all of the stress out of a room. Perhaps it's the softness of his rabbit-like fur, or maybe it's his ultra-relaxed demeanor that puts people at ease. Whatever it is, he charms even non-cat lovers. You can usually find him lounging around the house or hanging out in my lap.

Coffee is our resident barn manager. She showed up at our back door after we moved into the house, so we aren't exactly sure how old she is. She oversees all outdoor activities and takes care of any pesky rodent-type visitors. She may be small, but this little one packs a lot of sass. Coffee's definitely the boss around here! You'll usually find her sleeping on the haystack, hunting birds, or hanging out by the horse stalls. She's super friendly and loves meeting my clients.

Lucy is a 5 month old Golden Retriever and the most recent addition to the Equisano family. This little girl is a bundle of joy, full of energy, and adorable to boot! She loves rolling around in the grass, learning new tricks, playing tug of war, and meeting new people. She comes from a long line of therapy dogs and is looking forward to being integrated into our programs.

Alex and I met when we were 14 years old when I was living in Australia with my family. After knowing each other for 12 years, he applied for a K1 visa and moved back to the US with me to get married. We've been back in the States since 2013 and are enjoying every moment of our life together. Alex is my #1 cheerleader and a huge supporter of Equisano. At 6'5, he’s also super handy to have around the ranch. When he's not cheering me on, you can find him on the basketball court, practicing his killer dance moves, or working on his next brilliant business idea. I'm a very lucky gal...

Then, there’s me...

My name is Brittany. I'm Equisano's founder and herd leader. Over the last several years, I've been on an intense personal and spiritual journey. I'd unknowingly spent much of my life trying to fit myself into a mold that, deep down, I knew wasn't right. It wasn't until I reconnected with horses (my childhood passion) that I realized I'd lost myself. I'd forgotten who I was, what I cared about, and what my natural gifts were. I knew I needed to make some big changes. So, in late 2016, Alex and I decided to leave our life in San Francisco to move to Gilbert, Arizona. Since then, I've made it my mission to support other women in unbridling their authentic self and getting back to their roots. I help women reconnect with their passion and purpose, and let go of the heavy weight of other people's expectations. I do this with the help of my amazing herd. My programs are all about authenticity, non-judgment, compassion, support, vulnerability, purpose, self-expression, and self-care. These are practices I try to live by each and every day, and I encourage my clients to do the same. I'm looking forward to sharing my journey and learning more about each of you.

Now that you've learned a bit about us, I’d love to get to know you! Schedule your free Connection Call so we can chat.
